Lobon — Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Lobon Innovations LLC ("Lobon", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in connection with your access to and use of our mobile applications, websites, products, and services (collectively, the "Services"). It also describes the rights and choices available to you regarding that information.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to individuals worldwide who use or interact with Lobon's Services, including but not limited to: (a) riders who request transportation or delivery services; (b) drivers and delivery partners who provide services; (c) applicants and individuals who provide information to Lobon; and (d) individuals whose data Lobon obtains from third-party sources. Lobon operates subject to applicable law and will process personal data in accordance with those laws in the jurisdictions where Lobon operates.

2. Categories of Personal Data Collected

Lobon collects the following categories of personal data, depending on the Services you use and the permissions you grant.

a) Information you provide directly

  • Account information: name, email, telephone number, password, profile photo, date of birth, address, and other account preferences.
  • Payment and billing data: credit/debit card details, billing address, and payment verification information (collected via our payment processors).
  • Identification and verification data: government-issued identification numbers, driver’s license, vehicle registration, insurance details, Social Security number or national ID where required by law.
  • Communications and support data: messages and other content you provide when contacting customer support, feedback, ratings, or complaints.

b) Information generated through your use of the Services

  • Location data: precise or approximate geolocation derived from GPS, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, cell towers, IP address, and other sensors when you use the Lobon mobile application or otherwise provide consent. For drivers, Lobon collects location data while the application is running in the foreground and background in accordance with your device settings and applicable law.
  • Transaction data: trip details, pick-up and drop-off locations, route, distance, fare, transaction timestamps, receipts, and order history.
  • Usage and device data: app logs, crash reports, device identifiers, operating system, browser type, pages and features viewed, and cookie identifiers.
  • Communications metadata: records of communications conducted through Lobon's platform, such as masked phone numbers, timestamps, and call/message duration; content may be retained where necessary for safety and dispute resolution.

c) Information from third parties

  • Background check providers, insurance carriers, payment processors, public records, marketing partners, and business partners (including integration partners using Lobon APIs).
  • Information obtained from social media platforms and other third-party services where you elect to connect or authenticate via those services.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data for the purposes described below. The legal bases for processing may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests pursued by Lobon (balanced against your rights), and your consent where required.

  • Provision of Services: to facilitate ride requests, dispatch drivers, process payments, and provide related customer support (performance of a contract).
  • Safety and security: to verify identities, conduct background checks where applicable, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, investigate incidents, and protect users and personnel (legitimate interests and legal compliance).
  • Customer support and dispute resolution: to respond to inquiries, resolve disputes, and address complaints (performance of a contract and legitimate interests).
  • Improvement and development: to analyse usage, develop features, test, and improve our Services (legitimate interests).
  • Communications and marketing: to send service-related messages and, where you consent or have not opted out, to send promotional communications (consent or legitimate interests, as permitted by law).
  • Legal compliance: to comply with law enforcement requests, court orders, and applicable regulatory requirements (legal obligation).

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Data

Lobon may share personal data with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers and contractors: third parties who provide services such as payment processing, background checks, identity verification, data hosting, analytics, customer support, and communications.
  • Drivers and delivery partners: as necessary to complete trips and deliveries (e.g., sharing pickup/drop-off locations and masked contact details).
  • Business partners: partners who offer services in connection with Lobon (for example, payment partners, mapping providers, or marketing partners), subject to contractually binding confidentiality obligations.
  • Affiliates and corporate transactions: in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred to prospective or actual purchasers and their advisors.
  • Legal and safety disclosures: where required by law, legal process, litigation, or government authorities; to establish or defend legal rights; or to protect the safety of users and the public.
  • Aggregate and de‑identified data: Lobon may share aggregated, anonymized, or de‑identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

5. International Transfers

Lobon is a global organization and may transfer personal data to jurisdictions outside your country of residence for the purposes described in this Policy. Where required by law, Lobon will implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, or other approved mechanisms) to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data.

We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and similar technologies to provide, secure, and improve the Services, and to deliver content and advertising where applicable. Lobon retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and applicable legal requirements.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data Lobon holds about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data, where lawful;
  • request restriction of or object to certain processing activities;
  • receive a copy of certain personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine‑readable format (data portability); and
  • withdraw consent where Lobon relies on consent for processing.

10. Children

Lobon's Services are not intended for children under the age of 18. Lobon does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If Lobon becomes aware that information has been collected from a child under 18 without appropriate consent, Lobon will take steps to delete such information, in accordance with applicable law.

11. Changes to this Policy

Lobon may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where required by applicable law, Lobon will provide notice of material changes via the Lobon application, email, or other means. Continued use of the Services after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
